There’s never been a better time to set big, bold, soul-activating goals.
Or any goals, for that matter.
In a world that feels increasingly chaotic and unsafe, consciously choosing what you’re working towards is an act of self-leadership.
Goal setting, when done well, grounds you in inner safety and gives you agency over the life you’re creating despite what is going on around you.
As a mindset and business strategist I support women to set goals that feel good on the way there and are still deeply fulfilling once achieved.
When goals are driven by external pressure or expectation, they do not stick.
Goals should be an expression of who you are - and in service of the life you want to live, not something that hijacks it.
So pause for a moment and ask yourself:
What am I working towards right now?
Do I feel good doing the doing?
Am I enjoying my life now, or just hoping I will once I get there?
If something feels off, that’s important information.
You are the creator and conduit of what you desire.
What you want is possible - but only when you’re willing to look at both the visible and invisible barriers in your way and choose your next step consciously.
Don’t Let the “How” Kill the Desire
Ideas activate us all the time. Then logic jumps in: But how?
Suddenly, there are a thousand reasons not to begin.
My invitation is simple: don’t let the “how” drain the energy from the desire.
Instead, drop into your body and ask:
Does this goal feel energising or depleting?
If it lights you up on a visceral level, trust that it’s there for a reason. You don’t need the full roadmap - just the willingness to take the next aligned step.
Environment Matters
Every goal places you in a specific environment the moment you commit to it.
When you imagine yourself working towards this goal - interacting with clients, peers, collaborators - does that environment nourish your growth and wellbeing?
If the goal excites you but the surroundings don’t, that’s worth paying attention to.
Your time and energy are precious. Choose environments that support your inner growth and evolution.
You’re Not Meant to Do This Alone
Support isn’t optional - it’s essential.
Ask yourself:
What kind of emotional, mental, or practical support will I need?
Where am I willing to receive help?
The belief that you must do everything alone quietly kills growth, and it is a fast track to burnout.
When you plan and ask for support from the start - at home and in your business - you stop questioning whether you need it and start getting clear on what will move you forward the fastest.
Keep the “How” Simple
Ask yourself:
What’s the simplest way to move towards this result?
Am I planning from fear or from possibility?
We often overcomplicate because we’re afraid of getting it wrong. Ease the pressure.
The world doesn’t need perfection - it needs your imperfect first draft.
Take small daily action. Adjust as you go.
Remove what’s unnecessary. Delegate, automate, simplify. And please be disciplined not to compare your chapter 1 to someone’s chapter 10!
Identity, Beliefs, and Alignment
Your beliefs shape how you experience reality. Some need gentle excavation; others simply need to be noticed and consciously replaced.
When doubt arises, ask:
Who do I need to be to move forward with ease?
What would I need to believe to make this simpler?
What am I resisting - and why?
Sometimes the fastest way forward is acting from the identity of the woman who already trusts herself.
Values Over Hustle
Goals set in isolation - without considering the season of life you’re in - often lead to burnout or self-sabotage.
For example, early motherhood is one of the most demanding seasons of a woman’s life - yet we’re often encouraged to set business goals as if nothing else is happening. That disconnect is the problem.
Ask:
What truly matters to me right now?
Is this goal aligned with how I want to live right now?
Values are powerful motivators. When a goal aligns with what you value - your self, health, relationships, motherhood season, and wealth ambition - it sustains you.
When it threatens those values, invisible resistance shows up.
Clarity, boundaries, and conscious prioritisation are everything.
Feedback Is Non-Negotiable
Feedback is the breakfast of champions, as they say.
After each life and business growth milestone, ask:
What worked?
What brought me joy?
What would I do differently next time?
Reflection and refinement are what will bring sustainable growth.
Let Joy Be the Measure
Allow yourself to do things simply because they feel good and expansive.
Your mind is here to keep you safe and is well equipped to re-create familiar experiences - but your creativity and courage to try new things can really show you what you’re capable of.
Measure success not just by outcomes, but by how much joy, playfulness, connection and aliveness you experience along the way.
And stay open. What you truly want may arrive differently - or better - than you imagined.
And also on a different timeline. If you are not on track to hit those first quarter plans - just keep going, you’ve got this!
