Inside The Notting Hill Club: Martina Rivers’ Family-Focused Fitness Space Transforming Parenthood in West London
It’s been just over a month since we launched our exciting partnership with Notting Hill Club, and what a month it’s been!
From our weekly meetups and skills workshops exploring business, motherhood and hormone health, to celebrating 10 years of Tiba + Marl and their incredible brand-building journey — this collaboration has already sparked so many powerful conversations. We’ve also hosted two amazing evening events: one exploring the future of AI with Melinda Nicci, founder of Baby2Body, and another with powerhouse entrepreneur Maggie Bolger, who shared her inspiring story of building Maggie & Rose, the innovative west London private members club for families, into a £25 million business.
We’ve absolutely loved seeing this new space in Notting Hill come alive with women connecting, sharing, and supporting one another. As we head into the final part of 2025, we can’t wait to see how this partnership continues to grow and what’s to come next. Now, over to the amazing Martina Rivers, co-founder of Notting Hill Club and proud mum — we’re so grateful to her for making our West London MOB launch possible. Below she shares a bit more about the story behind the space, her journey into motherhood, and what inspired her to create a fitness studio designed with families at its heart.
Notting Hill Club
Hi, I’m Martina Rivers, co-founder of Notting Hill Club, a boutique fitness studio created with families and children at its heart. Partnering with Mums Who Build over the past few weeks has been such an inspiring experience, and as a mum building a business myself, I thought it was about time I shared a little more about my journey — what inspired the club, and how motherhood continues to shape my vision as both a founder and a mum. After a decade in the fashion PR industry, I joined my husband’s family business, Body Works West, following the pandemic. In April 2025, we co-founded this new space with a clear mission: to offer a boutique studio experience tailored to children and their families. With a range of high quality, child-friendly and family-focused classes, delivered by best-in-class instructors and providers in a specially designed facility. We want to create a social fitness space, with children at the heart, where parents and caregivers always feel welcome. We provide a range of high-quality, child-friendly, and family-focused classes, led by experienced instructors and providers in a specially designed facility. At Notting Hill Club, you will find a Dance studio, a spacious dojo for Martial Arts and self-defence classes and Pilates and Yoga studio. Our aim is to create a social fitness space where children are at the heart, and parents and caregivers always feel welcome.Notting Hill Club provides purposefully-designed pregnancy and postnatal classes and training programmes, where the wellbeing of the mother is prioritised. My personal experience of motherhood has shaped the vision for this club. At Notting Hill Club, we prioritise mothers’ physical and mental wellbeing, offering fitness experiences tailored specifically to their unique needs. We want to empower women to move confidently and safely through every stage of pregnancy and postpartum recovery”.I believe that regular exercise is one of the most powerful tools for improving overall wellbeing, with benefits that extend far beyond physical health. Everyone stands to gain from incorporating movement into their routine. However, for mothers, the transition to parenthood often brings confusion about what’s safe and what isn’t during pregnancy and postpartum. Many available classes post-birth are baby-focused, leaving little room for mothers to focus on their own recovery and wellbeing”.That’s why we’ve created a space that empowers women to move with confidence and support through every stage of pregnancy and beyond. We also understand the vital role that not only fathers, but also grandparents, godparents, and caregivers play in a child’s life. That’s why we’ve developed a programme of engaging and fun classes that encourage joyful movement for the entire family”.2025 has been an amazing year so far and this is just the start! We look forward to seeing you soon at one of our MOB x Notting Hill Club events!Martina x
